Franny Jeffers has been told he can leave Blackburn over the summer if the Premiership club receive the right offer, according to local newspaper reports in Lancashire.

The report also claims that Rovers want a seven-figure fee for the one-time England man, although this appears to be unrealistic given Jeffers's injury record in recent seasons and as he has only a year left of his current deal.

Town are keen to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis and have always appeared confident that the striker's potential fee and wage demands would not prove a problem.

Jeffers himself has said he wants to return to Town on a number of occasions.
