Peters Awarded Permit
Monday, 4th Jun 2007 10:54

Canadian midfielder Jaime Peters has been granted a new work permit until 2010. The 20-year-old has already agreed to sign a new contract with the Blues, which also runs for three years.

Town faced an appeal regarding Peters's permit when the Canadian international first joined them in 2005, but this time around it was granted on first application.

Peters, who has made 28 starts for the Blues plus 12 sub appearances, scoring two goals, was awarded the the John Kerridge Award for Town's most improved player last season.

The winger is currently away with Canada's U20s and will start pre-season later than the rest of the Town squad, once he returns from the FIFA U20 World Cup in July.

Meanwhile, former Blue Titus Bramble has signed a three-year deal with Wigan. The ex-England U21 international was released by Newcastle and joins the Latics on a free transfer.
