Knights Move Confirmed

Yeovil Town have confirmed that released Blues striker Darryl Knights will join them next week. The 19-year-old will sign a one-year deal at Huish Park once his Town contract is up at the end of the month.

Glovers boss Russell Slade says Knights did enough in his loan spell at the end of last season to show him he has potential: "We're delighted that Darryl Knights will be with us again. He needs to add consistency to his game, but that will come with more experience.

"We've seen enough of what he's got to offer to know that we can work with him, improve him, and hopefully make him the finished article.

"He's had a taste of first team action and his next target will be to start a game for us. That's why pre-season is so important for players, because a good start can make it hard for me to leave them out."

Knights made one senior appearance for the Blues, as a sub at Sunderland in November 2004. The striker was one of the key players in Town's FA Youth Cup win in 2005.

Meanwhile, former Town reserves defender Chris Hogg has signed a new deal with Hibernian which will keep him at Easter Road until 2010.
