De Vos on Contract Offer
De Vos on Contract Offer

Skipper Jason De Vos says he will wait until the end of the season before deciding whether to accept the new one-year deal offered by the Blues. The Canadian is considering various future options, but at the moment is concentrating on getting Town into the Premier League.

De Vos said: "I have spoken to the manager and the club have offered me a new contract.

"At the moment though all that concerns me is this season and getting enough points from the last six games to get this club into the play-offs.

"Once the season is over then I will sit down with my family and discuss what happens from there.

"I'm doing some work for a TV station in Canada in the summer and that is one line I might explore in the future, but as I've said nothing will be decided until the end of the season. All the concerns me at the moment is getting three points at Colchester on Saturday."

Earlier in the season, De Vos told TWTD that he was considering various options in football once he has retired from playing: "I want to stay involved in the game at one level or another, whether it's in a coaching capacity or an administrative capacity I haven't really decided yet.”
