FanZone Presenter New Man on Stadium PA

Town have confirmed that FanZone presenter Dave Vant is taking over as the club’s stadium announcer.

Mark Murphy, who was on the PA last season, announced earlier that he is hanging up his mic.

Vant took on his FanZone role in the summer of 2022 following two years as stadium announcer at Cambridge United.

Mark Murphy always sounded a bit like there was a punchline ready to be delivered somewhere in the back of his mind/throat. I get the feeling from what I've seen/heard of Dave Vant on Town TV that he really is going to go for it. I hope it's a little upgrade of the match-day experience for the next-gen fans in the crowd.

Mark was always a temporary fix and a little out of kilter with the overall atmosphere with some cringe moments last season.....glad he stepped down to preserve his broadcasting legacy and Dave seems to fit the bill perfectly. Good luck Dave....bring on Liverpool!
