![]() Sunday, 18th May 2008 21:40 Defender Alex Bruce was in action with Ireland on Sunday in a training game against Portuguese side Portimonese. Bruce played the full 90 minutes of the match which ended 1-1, but fellow Blue Owen Garvan was not involved. Garvan is likely to play some role in a second training run-out against Lagos on Monday. The Irish squad are currently in the Algarve on a training camp prior to friendlies with Serbia on Saturday 24th May at Croke Park and Colombia on Thursday 29th May at Craven Cottage. Bruce has one full Irish cap, while Garvan is yet to play at full international level. Republic of Ireland: Kiely (J Murphy 62), Kelly, Bruce, McShane, Delaney, Duff (Keogh 46), Miller (Whelan 70), Rowlands (Potter 72), Hunt (Hoolahan 70), D Murphy (Long 57), Doyle (Scannell 74).
