Town skipper Matt Holland has been called up to the provisional Ireland squad for their World Cup qualifier with Andorra on April 25th. Holland scored on his last appearance for the Republic, also against Andorra, in Barcelona.

Holland, who celebrates his 27th birthday today, will expect to make the final 22-man squad when it is announced next week.

Town loanee Mark Burchill has been linked with a close season move to West Ham. Burchill has made just two starts since joining Town on loan in February and recently said he was desperate to stay at Celtic.

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Town will try to make the deal permanent with a return to Scotland in the summer the most likely scenario.
