Town's U18s were hammered 7-2 by Chelsea at the Premier League side's Cobham training ground on Saturday morning. The Blues, whose goals were scored by Reggie Lambe and Paul Murphy, were reduced to 10 men in the second half as Paul Watson was red-carded.

The youngsters were already six down before Lambe scored on 50 and Murphy on 64, although the Blues missed chances to make the scoreline closer throughout.

For the home side Italian striker Fabio Borini scored three, midfielder Conor Clifford two (including a 72nd minute penalty after Watson had been sent off for handball on the line) and Jacopo Sala and Frank Nouble once each. Town's U16s lost 3-2 to the same opposition.

U18s: Ward (Stensrud 67), Clemo, Dunbar, Hyam, Watson, Griffiths (Murray 53), Cawley, Daniels, Ainsley, Murphy, Lambe. Unused: Ralph and Capocci.
