Reason On Trial at Cambridge

Young midfielder Jai Reason is joining Blue Square Premier side Cambridge United on trial. Reason, who is yet to make a first team appearance for the Blues, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "Jai needs to be taking the next step in his development and that means playing first team football. He is going to Cambridge and we will see how he gets on there."

Earlier in the season, the 19-year-old spent time on trial at York City but failed to win a loan spell with the Minstermen.

Meanwhile, Town's reserve matches against Southend and Orient have been rearranged for April. The Blues' second string take on the Shrimpers away on Tuesday, 14th April (KO 2pm) and play at Leyton Orient on Tuesday, 28th April (KO 2pm).

Town's U18 fixture at Southampton scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed and will now be played on Saturday 4th April.

The game has been rescheduled because the U18s are in action next Monday in their FA Youth Cup fifth round tie against Watford at Portman Road (KO 7pm). Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for under-16s. The winners face a trip to Cardiff or Birmingham in the sixth round.

The U16s match at home to Southampton on Saturday is still on but with a midday start.
