![]() Thursday, 9th Apr 2009 08:53 Chairman David Sheepshanks could be on the verge of leaving the Blues, according to a national newspaper report this morning. Sheepshanks, chairman since 1995, switched to a non-executive position with the club at the end of May 2008. According to today's report, that move was for an initial year, with no subsequent talks regarding extending that role having so far taken place with club owner Marcus Evans. Should Sheepshanks leave the Blues, he would also end his time on the FA board, where he represents the Football League, and the League's own board, where he represents the Championship. Yesterday, Town announced that chief executive Derek Bowden will leave Portman Road at the end of the season after seven years. Former British Olympic Association chief executive Simon Clegg is expected to take over in the summer.
