![]() Wednesday, 15th Apr 2009 11:42 Former Blue Fabian Wilnis is inviting Town fans to watch him play the final game of his professional career for Grays Athletic on Sunday, 26th April (KO 4pm). The Dutchman will hang his boots up at the end of the Blue Square Premier season at the age of 38. Fab wants Blues fans to come along and watch Grays take on Forest Green Rovers from a specially arranged ITFC section at the Recreation Ground as he calls time on his long career. The defender Town supporters to wear scarves, shirts, hats and other ITFC memorabilia from the decade he spent at Portman Road. The former De Graafschap and NAC Breda man is returning to Holland once his career is over and says this will be a chance for people see him off: "I hope you all can come and it will be a good opportunity to say goodbye to my English friends. I'll still be in Ipswich quite a lot, you're not getting rid of me that easily!†Wilnis is running coaches to the Essex club from Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds with a booking form downloadable from his FAB10 website to be returned before this Friday. Discount match tickets will be available to Town supporters on the gate at £10 for adults and £5 for children by mentioning Fab's name. Supporters can also meet Fab in the excellent Grays clubhouse after the game. Wilnis will have a testimonial at Portman Road on July 25th against as yet unnamed opposition. Feyenoord, the team Fab supported as a boy, recently pulled out after changing their pre-season plans. Fab's testimonial committee are in talks with a Premier League side.
