Watson Joins Livingston

Released academy central defender Paul Watson has signed a two-year deal with Scottish side Livingston. Watson was surprisingly let go by the Blues at the end of his scholarship in May.

Livingston were recently demoted to the Scottish Third Division having recently been in administration but are appealing against their relegation from the First Division.

Watson is set to make his debut against Montrose tomorrow, having impressed in a trial. Previously he had spent time with Kilmarnock, Peterborough and Aldershot without being offered terms.

Meanwhile, ex-Blues loanee Danny Simpson has signed on loan for Newcastle from Manchester United.

Elsewhere, Norwich City have sacked manager Bryan Gunn and have replaced him with assistant boss Ian Butterworth in the wake of last week's 7-1 trouncing by Colchester United.

Good luck to the lad
Must admit I feel a bit sorry for Bryan Gunn getting the sack, who will want to manage the broken budgies anyhow, that 7-1 thrashing on Saturday was fab, but Gunn is a decent individual and deserved more time.

Have to agree with Devon TractorBoy (and many Narridge supporters) - the sacking of Bryan Gunn gives Delia and cronies an even worse reputation than they already had.
