Reserves Face Northampton
Reserves Face Northampton
Wednesday, 30th Sep 2009 08:55

The Blues’ reserves are in action against Northampton Town's second string at Portman Road this afternoon (KO 2pm). Colin Healy and Owen Garvan are likely to be the only senior players in Bryan Klug’s team.

Fringe players Ed Upson, Troy Brown, Jack Ainsley and Shane O’Connor will also probably be in the side with the rest of the squad made up of academy youngsters.

Striker Connor Wickham is unlikely to play as he has been suffering with a groin injury in recent weeks.

Town currently top the Totesport.com Football Combination East Division having won two and drawn one so far this season.

i cant belive you call Ed Upson, Troy Brown, Jack Ainsley and Shane O'Connor ''fringe players' when they are so young...
and you call Colin Healy and Owen Garvan senior players?
makes no sence to me

jd..Both Garvan and Healy have played with the 1st team this season so would be senior players.Reserve team players that have not played in the 1st team are always known as fringe players.
