Chairman Confirms North Stand Challenge Wednesday, 4th Jul 2001 15:38 Town chairman David Sheepshanks has confirmed that the the club has faced continued opposition to the North Stand from a local resident. The resident has, as reported earlier, sought a judicial review of the council's decision. Sheepshanks said: "Having taken legal advice, we are entirely satisfied that everything has been done properly by the Borough Council in granting the planning permission. We have now heard from the Court that the judge has dismissed the action being taken against the Borough Council. I understand that there are now seven days for the individual local resident to seek an oral hearing. I can add nothing further until next week, save to say that there have been no delays to the building schedule so far as a result of this matter."
