Season Ticket Total Later This Week
Season Ticket Total Later This Week
Monday, 12th Apr 2010 16:09

Town say they won’t know the total of early bird season ticket sales until later in the week. Saturday marked the deadline for purchasing season tickets at the cheapest prices.

A Ticket Office spokesperson said: "We have as many as 10 bags of post sitting unopened in the office. There is always a flood of applications that come in during the last week of the early bird offer and this year has been no exception.

"It will be at least another week before we have processed all the applications and have an idea of the take up on tickets."

Town, who have 15,950 season ticket holders for this season, froze prices for 2010/11.

Meanwhile, midfielder Carlos Edwards has admitted that he may have been too relaxed since joining the Blues in August: "Speaking very openly, maybe I've been taking things for granted.

"It's not just me who's been saying I'm too laid-back, the gaffer has mentioned it to me and so has my wife, so I have to prove them wrong."

Edwards, who has struggled to hit his best form since moving from Sunderland, says he expects to be part of Roy Keane’s squad next season when he sees the Blues making significant progress: "We just need to strengthen up in one or two places and I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully I can be here next season to help the team push for promotion.

"I have no concern that I won't be here next season but you never know, it's a strange game, but at this present time I'm fully committed to the team and the club and don't see any reason for me to be leaving unless the manager thinks otherwise."

it has been a poor season, but overall hasnt been any better or any worse than the last 4 seasons, same old problems of inconsistency this hasnt stopped me renewing my season ticket.Since October there have been better performances and results and i believe we are on the up amd hopefully next season we can build on the progress we have made since that first win and follow through with Keanes 2 year plan!!! COYB !!!

You are all such freaks!! Strange that people who actually know the game are all coming out in support for Keane and the people that matter (ME/Clegg) are obviously happy with him.

FREAKSHOW!!

As a person who has said he piece on Mr Keane I take offence of those who spout on about fans lack of loyalty. I support Ipswich Town Football club and the team on the pitch in those colours. I do not support individuals who profess one thing and deliver another grossly inferior product.

I renewed my season ticket in the week that I received the pack, no hesitation whatsoever. If we'd gone down I would have still been there.

Hero worship has never done anyone any good. The only false Idol I will worship at is the collective known as Ipswich Town Football Club.

I find this hero worship for the thug beano quite sad.
I suppose that is a symptom of the sad society we now live in where substance is nothing and celebrity is eveything.

ME cannot be very pleased at the millions wasted, the complete lack of progress and awful football.
Clegg will what is necessary when ME tells him, sooner the better.

Personally, I go to PR to watch ITFC play, not to worship RK - or anybody else for that matter.

the season ticket prices are to expensive make them cheaper. The cheaper you make them the more people you will atract to the ground. The 12th is a big advantage and If we want to get back to the premier league we need to fill the ground every week and I apolgise but there has been no atmosphere this season and I can understand why we are a great club with great supporters but the club will be ruined it if the club don't lower the ticket prices

Keano out!!!!!!!

Hey Wallingford.
What you going to do when we don't look like promotion candidates next season? Spoonfuls of humble pie? Doubt it somehow. You and the other apologists for Keanes tenure will be flouncing about who will replace him if he hasn't already been sacked by christmas.

Re "Hey Wallingford bou, what you going to do when we don't look like promotion candidates next year". What a completely useless thing to say. Nothing like a some optimism is there? You and others seem to give off the impression that you want Keane, and by that Ipswich in the short term, to fail, as you dislike him. And, to counter what you said, what will you be like when we are promotion candidates next year? Still be calling for Keane's head? At least give him a chance before assuming he will not have a successful second season, and show an ounce of positivity for once.

We have had 3 over-hyped false dawn seasons in a row. Nobody is shouting about next season, therefore we'll win the league. QED.

In other news, some people are surprised when a journeyman jamican international in the twilight of his career admits he doesn't give a crap.

think when Keane said he wants smaller squad, he meant he wants more of the ''little people'' .
