Monday, 26th Apr 2010 17:04

Pablo Couñago, Owen Garvan, Lee Martin, Alan Quinn and Shane O’Connor have been named in the reserves squad for their final game of the season away at Northampton Town’s Sixfields on Tuesday afternoon (KO 2pm).

A number of players could make their final appearance in a Town shirt with several of the squad out of contract at the end of the season - Jack Ainsley, Reggie Lambe, Devann Yao and Troy Brown - and with manager Roy Keane expecting some of the more established members of the first team squad to leave the club during the close season. Coach Steve Foley is also out of contract in the summer.

The Blues look likely to finish second in the http://full-time.thefa.com/ProcessPublicSelect.do;jsessionid=487AE366B700F1C2100 Football Combination East Division, behind Watford.

Keane has confirmed that Town will continue to enter a reserve team into the competition next season.

Reserves: Ainsley, Brown, Clark, Couñago, Dunbar, Eastman, Garvan, Griffiths, Hyam, Lambe, Lee-Barrett, Martin, O'Connor, Quinn, Yao.

Always sad to see the young ones go, but its the nature of the beast I suppose. Maybe Keane will throw us a curveball and offer them another year?

Good luck for tomorrow lads!

Whats O'Conner doing in the rezzies? He is a top, top player with potential to rival that of Wickham.

Whilst I think Wickham could and probably will go on to play for England, O'Connor could play for Ireland and a good premier league team (hopefully us!)
