TWTD Launches Butcher Tribute Shirts

TWTD designer Dan Thomas has added a new T-shirt in tribute to one of Town and England's greatest heroes ahead of the World Cup. Somehow we've previously overlooked former skipper Terry Butcher, but the new shirt, which comes in two versions, rectifies that oversight.

The new shirts, along with many others in homage to Town stars of the past and present, are available the TWTD Shop, which can be found here or on the menu at the top of the page.

Your talking about the man who when he was a boy went to Norwich for a trial and told his dad he felt sick because they told him to wear a yellow and green shirt and that he never wanted to come back. Butcher is a legend, for Town and England. To hear you question this is a disgrace. Weigh up what you have done for either and see how it compares.

England were free to offer him a role if they wished. I totally understand why they haven't, but he must have earned the right to continue his career -- look at Andy Robinson as a case in point.

Your small-minded remarks betray your bigotry, and belittle the greatness of Butcher's achievements and character. Every true Ipswich and England fan will be disgusted by your lack of respect and loyalty.
