Peters Wins Cap in Canada Defeat Sunday, 5th Sep 2010 09:33
Jaime Peters came on as a 27th minute sub to win his 23rd full cap as Canada lost 2-0 to Peru in a friendly in Toronto overnight. Jose Carlos Fernandez and Jean Tragodara netted the goals for the South Americans.
Peters came on at left-back, his first appearance for his national side in the full-back role he now more usually occupies for Town.
The Canadians take on Honduras in another friendly in Montreal on Tuesday.

I wonder if they conceded before or after he came on?

Reads like the Nodge right midfielder is preferred.

Peters looked a little uncomfortable on the left, was drawn inside too frequently and was spotlighted by Canadian T.V. as being at fault for the second Peruvian goal. The Canadians had a pretty decent first half against Peru but were badly outclassed in the second half. Peters has now appeared for Canada in 5 different positions. Perhaps with Keane's assistance he will establish oine position as his best, but Staltieri will take somer shifting as Canada's first choice right back.
