Monday, 29th Nov 2010 16:03

Keeper Márton Fülöp as emerged as a new injury doubt ahead of Wednesday’s Carling Cup quarter-final against West Brom. The Hungarian international suffered an ankle injury in the weekend defeat at Norwich.

Manager Roy Keane told the club site that the former Sunderland man’s fitness will become clearer on Tuesday: "Márton is a concern. We will know more tomorrow."

Fülöp is yet to play in the Carling Cup for Town with Brian Murphy having been in goal for the games at Exeter, Crewe, Millwall and at home to Northampton.

Already on the sidelines with injury are Gareth McAuley (achilles), Luke Hyam (hamstring), Connor Wickham (thigh), Tom Eastman (groin) and Mark Kennedy (hamstring), while loanees Gianni Zuiverloon, Jack Colback, Jake Livermore and Rory Fallon are unavailable having played for their parent clubs in the competition already this season.

Meanwhile, the Blues have confirmed that they will not be appealing against Damien Delaney’s red card at Norwich. The Irishman will serve his one-match ban on Wednesday.

This site is really is quite entertaining at times especially when you see messages like the one from Surco 72 copied below that the side at the top would walk all over the side below - what absolute nonsense - yeah right Jon Stead is a top class forward and Bruce is a top notch centre half and as for Thatcher... I think most of the so called fans who comment on here have to get used to the fact that Town have been a very average side for the past 5 years or so and I have seen very little entertainment or good football at PR for a while now - I really don't know where all the rose tinted comments come from regarding the good football that has been played - as I haven't seen it...Everyone on here seems to want Keane out - so fine replace him - who with? Martin O'Neil - you are having a laugh why would he want to come to an average second division side like Town - bring back Jim maybe - do me a favour another ex-player out of his depth...I don't know what the answer is maybe Warnock - someone with proven experience but he is more than happy at QPR. Maybe ME has saved us financially and we need to be thankful of that but I don't think he does himself any favours by being invisible. I think we just have to get real and accept that we are a very ordinary side right now in a very ordinary league and if RK can't turn things around by Christmas then try and secure a proven manager - in the meantime give up on the stupid comparisons between past and present teams and actually try and support the current squad. then again keep them coming as it is quite funny...

that side would walkover Keanes team and they were an average championship side shows how far we have fallen

Looks like Jim Baxter is happy with the current situation at Town.

Just be reading and it seems that Keane quit at Sunderland on Dec 4th, 2008. Sunderland were 18th in the Premier League, having lost five of their six previous games. Keane stood down as manager on 4 December after bringing doubt on his own future with comments made in the wake of the 4-1 home defeat by Bolton the previous weekend.

He must have wanted Christmas off. Let's hope he does the same here !!!

I reckon we should put the manager of Jewson's in goal. Perhaps he would bring some 4 ply along with him and board the goal up. I would like to see WBA score through that!

There again RK would use super glue instead of 'no more nails' and the whole thing will collapse at the first shot!

JimBaxter ... if you read my post not once did i say bruce or stead were top class players i said they were all playing in an average championship side ,the side i am now watching is a below average championship side who have lost 7 of their last 9 games and are the worst form side in the league ,they have no direction, width, pace ,creativity ,passion or class . Mock Thatcher all you like but at least he was a left back and knew how to play their more than most who have been played there since .
Keane has slowly dissected a passing team and replaced them with workers who run around a lot and kick the ball hard and high ,if you are happy watching that and continually breaking records for most defeats, most games without a win ,heaviest defeat to the scum carry on moaning at others who are not happy about it and want a change .
And as for stupid comparisons of the past that is all i have heard since Keane took over from people like yourselves saying give Keane time it took Bobby time to turn us around !!
As for managers to take over maybe ONeill is too far a stretch but their are alot of managers out there O Leary,Hoddle,Curbishley,Johnson,Pardew,Jewell all with experience or a punt for a younger hungry manager Eddie Howe from Bournemouth nobody could do any worse as Keane has not improved anything at the club

Surco72 - that's what I mean by rose tinted glasses - "slowly dissected a passing team" what have you been watching in recent years? I have not seen a passing side at PR for quite a long time...I don't really care if we change the manager but if we do and lose 3 or 4 on the bounce there will still be "fans" coming on here saying sack him - we need a change - maybe we do but the comments on this board just make me embarrassed - but also give me a laugh - and I think people should stop living in the dim and distant past and be honest about the type of football that has been served up at PR in past 5 or 6 years - its been mediocre pal...
