Town Announce Arsenal Ticket Prices
Town Announce Arsenal Ticket Prices
Wednesday, 8th Dec 2010 16:39

Town have announced the prices for the two-legged Carling Cup semi-final against Arsenal. An adult will pay £20 for their seat at Portman Road if they buy their ticket before the day of the game, while adult lower tier tickets at the Emirates Stadium will cost just £10.

In addition to the charge of £20 for adults for the first leg at Portman Road on Wednesday 12th January (KO 7.45pm), tickets for concessions will £10, while under-16s will pay £7.50. On the day of the match, prices will rise to £25 for adults, £15 for concessions and £10 for under-16s.

Season tickets holders will be able to purchase an additional ticket at the cheaper price, while non-season ticket holders who attended the West Brom in the last round will also be given priority booking.

Chief executive Simon Clegg says the aim is to fill the ground: “The prices we have set are the second cheapest for a game this season, only the Northampton Carling Cup tie was cheaper.

“We are anticipating a full house for what will be one of the biggest games in the recent history of Ipswich Town and against a team that is regarded as one of the best in Europe.

“It should be a fantastic night for our supporters and I wanted to reward our loyal fanbase of season ticket holders plus those fans who made it through the snow and ice to watch the team beat West Brom with the best chance of getting tickets to watch the semi-final at Portman Road.”

Town will announce the schedule for ticket sales soon with seats first made available to season ticket holders and fans who attended the West Brom game. Non-season ticket holders will be asked to produce proof of purchase at the West Brom game to qualify for priority tickets.

Arsenal have been given 4,500 tickets and are expected to take their full allocation. The club hope the match will see Portman Road’s first 30,000 crowd since December 2003.

Tickets for the visit to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday 25th January - Town's first game at the Gunners' new home - have been set at £20 for adults and £10 for concessions in the upper tier and £10 for adults and £5 for concessions in the lower tier. The club will release the full details of their availability in the next few days.

15% of ground capacity.....thats 9000....whether town are prepared to take full allocation remains to be seen...any unsold tickets you have to still pay for...thats probably why we only took 3000 for chelsea game,as only recently playing there and the game on a sunday not so sure town would take much more than that...

Good value for away leg but no real monetary discount for home leg for season ticket holders or those who went to Baggies match. Then again I think whatever Club had done on this would be wrong to someone

Sensible ticket pricing at last. Paid £33 today for an extra ticket for Boxing Day - ridiculous

I disagree we would sell all 6 000 tickets for the Chelsea game had we taken them so I'm not sure why we didn't ask for them. We'll get 10 000 arsenal tickets and we'll sell that out.

15% as a semi final match so our allocation should be about 9000.

Fingers crossed they do priority booking for the Arsenal away game aswell.

i.e. If you went to West Brom and then book a ticket for the home game against Arsenal you get a priority for the away game too?

15% = over 9000 tickets at the emirates. some people can't do basic maths.

As a non season ticket holder who didn't go to the west brom game I already have my tickets in the away end sorted thank you.

Let's not have too many orgasms over playing Arsenal - we once had the likes of these here every other week. TWTD. Will they ever return ?? - not under the current regime for sure.

Mr Keane... Please just leave... You've done enough damage and achieved precisely nothing... No words, no excuses can disguise your inadequacies... It's over, it never really began... Please let us put your and your beige era behind us so that we can move forward again in the Ipswich way: stylish, passing football, exciting, positive, hopeful - something to look forward to...
