Loughlan and McParland Leave Town Thursday, 13th Jan 2011 16:45
Town have confirmed that coaches Tony Loughlan and Ian ‘Charlie’ McParland have left the club.
The pair joined Town under Roy Keane’s management and it is little surprise that they have departed in the wake of the former boss’s sacking last week.
Chief executive Simon Clegg paid tribute to the duo: "I'd like to thank both Tony and Charlie for their commitment to Ipswich Town during their time at the football club and wish them every success for the future.”
Loughlan, who has been close to Keane since their time together at Nottingham Forest, joined Town when the Irishman came to the club in April 2009 and McParland was added to the staff seven months later.
While TWTD understands that reserves coach Chris Kiwomya will remain at Portman Road, there is as yet no news on goalkeeping-coach Jim Hollman and fitness coaches Antonio Gomez and Simon Thadani.

good luck chaps and i hope you join up with Keano again at another club, on reflection i think Keano might have used 'Charlie' more often to speak to the press there was always lots of talk of him needing a No2, seems like we had a good one there already

I think Charlie was ready to go before a ball was kicked on Wed. night, I believe his loyalty was with Keano. Sunday he was just mourning the loss of Keane. BUT he has proved he can suceed on his own, so go for it CHARLIE AND TONY AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE, you do not need Keano !!!!!!!!

seems to have a lot more upstairs than keane good luck to him got a feeling we will be on the wrong end of a result against one of his teams in the future ..just goes to show the celebrity manager was a disaster and waiting and waiting and waiting for him to come good was a complete waste of time and points////////////// is mcgee better yet ?

How on earth can you quickly settle a team with a new manager if you clear out all other staff around him -cronyism runs deep unforunately through football at all levels, you just have to look at the contents of the Directors box at most games - a lot of hangers ons and gravy train riders
