![]() Wednesday, 17th Oct 2001 22:12 Former Town full-back Frank Yallop has been named MLS Coach of the Year after guiding his San Jose Earthquakes to a successful first season under his guidance. His side play a deciding third game in their MLS Cup Play-offs semi-final series against the Miami Fusion tonight. In the two matches so far they have lost one 1-0 and won the other 4-0. Their League record in the season prior to Frank taking over was the worst of the season: W7 D17 L8. This season they created a new MLS record: W13 D7 L6. They also conceded just 29 goals, equalling the record. When Yallop took over there was a major change of personal, but it seems to have paid off for the former Canadian captain.
