Holland and Stewart Speak

Town skipper Matt Holland and leading goalscorer Marcus Stewart both spoke after Sunday's home defeat at the hands of West Ham. Both denied claims that there is a split in the camp.

Holland said: "We are conceding too many goals. If you concede three goals at home you are not going to win matches.Last season was exceptional. It was always going to be difficult to match what we did last season. There are no easy games. We will just keep going and see what happens."

Marcus Stewart refuted claims that there is a rift between himself and other players. Radio Suffolk noted a lack of players joining Stewart to celebrate his first goal at Southampton on Wednesday, however, Stewart says this wasn't due to any row: "The lads were determined to get the ball out of the net and get to the halfway line looking for a second goal before half-time. I didn't feel any animosity towards me from anyone. The lads are a bit down, which is natural when you are not winning games, but nobody is not working. We are a very hard-working side it is all about confidence. All we need is a couple of wins on the trot and we can turn this around."

Holland, Stewart's room-mate, added: "Everyone is getting on just fine. There is definitely no problem with Marcus at all. The spirit among the players is very good. Of course we are disappointed with our results but we are working together to put that right."
