![]() Monday, 2nd Apr 2012 09:39 Daryl Murphy says he has no idea where he’ll be playing his football next season. The 29-year-old, who scored the Blues’ winning goal in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Barnsley, the fourth strike of his season-long loan spell, has another year left on his contract at Celtic. Murphy said: “I have not got a clue. As far as I know I’m going back to Celtic at the end of the season. “I have enjoyed my time here and want to carry on playing as many more games as I can and want to finish the season on a high and who knows what will happen then. "I have really enjoyed my time, same as I did last time which is why I came back.” The Waterford-born striker or midfielder was delighted to score during Saturday’s game having been moved up front but was disappointed he didn’t net a later chance: “It is good to be on goal sheet. I was delighted to be playing back up front. “I enjoyed that as I had almost forgotten what it was like to run channels and play up top and thankfully we won the game which was the main thing. “I’m devastated over missing that second chance as it was an easier finish than the one I scored.” However, the Irish international, who previously played up front with Michael Chopra at Sunderland, says he doesn’t mind playing out wide as he has for much of this season: “I got used to being out wide and have enjoyed it. “I have spoken to the gaffer and he told me I was doing a job for the team and I have been playing every week so I have to be happy about that.” Murphy had praise for keeper Arran Lee-Barrett for his two late saves: “Arran has kept us in front with two brilliant saves when it could easily have gone the other way.” He says that with six games remaining, the Blues have to look to keep their current run going: “You can’t start thinking about the summer as we still have games left and we have to pick up as many points as we can because the gaffer wants to finish the season on a high. “If we can finish the season on high it will be good for the gaffer and everyone involved, thinking about next year.”
