Martin Again Missing for Southend Trip Tuesday, 31st Jul 2012 13:01
Midfielder Lee Martin will again be missing when the Blues take on Southend in a pre-season friendly at Roots Hall this evening (KO 7.45pm). The 25-year-old has been suffering with a thigh problem throughout pre-season with his only involvement so far as a sub in the second half at Cambridge.
Better news is that striker Ronan Murray is back having been sidelined with a minor niggle, while prospective signing Cheick Kourouma is again involved with the squad.
Martin was the Town scorer in the friendly between the two sides last year which ended 1-1.
A Blues reserves side will be in action at AFC Sudbury on Wednesday evening (KO 7.45pm).
Squad: Ainsley, Bullard, Carson, Chambers, Chopra, Cresswell, Delaney, Drury, Edwards, Emmanuel-Thomas, Hyam, Kourouma, Lee-Barrett, Loach, Luongo, Murray, Scotland, Stevenson, Whight.

because hes isolated a lot with our system he needs to feed of some one closer in a 4 4 2. the one up front worked a lot at times but the quqlity of delivery has to be so spot on hes skilful and good outside the box but very dealy in it on the feed off he needs a player to help him not just when were behind in a game.we need another striker or just my opinion we will be in trouble we have no money and are the poor relations finacially in the championship and to add fuel i question evans not sure hes our saviour at all

I'm getting sick of fans coming on here and expecting us to compete with clubs who have £10-£20M to spend!!! Guys ....we cant compete!!! What we need to do is what we have done in the past and box clever in the transfer market, bring our wn players through and play as a tight team unit. If we do that we have half a chance of the playoffs at best. People need to lower expectations an calm down a bit, blaming ME/pj isnt going to get us anywhere although will admit cleggs role is a bit baffling.

H-T 2-0 It took 20 mins for us to get going, playing much better now, keeping possesion, but no serious shots on goal. Cresswell's goaline clearance stopped it from getting worse against the run of play. Attacking the away end this half, so hoping for some goals....the Spurs lad is a class above anyone else, Loach's kicking is very wayward...

2-0 down, but its still only a friendly ! I'm glad I am on holiday so I can miss being ripped off at the next 2 friendlies as well for £15 a game ! Back for the first real game against Bristol R. and its only £12 - bargain compared to the friendlies and competitive I hope !

Danger man, Ryan Hall and Kane Ferdinand the goalscorers. Kane Ferdinand. Haven't we been sniffing around on him for long? Maybe a decent signing on cheap money?
