Sheepshanks' Ticket Vow
Sheepshanks' Ticket Vow
Friday, 16th Nov 2001 11:22

David Sheepshanks has vowed that he will endeavour to get more tickets for the UEFA Cup game with Inter.

It appears that thousands of supporters have hotels and flights booked, but could not get match tickets. David Goodchild, one of the unlucky supporters, has now been contacted by 1200 fans who plan to travel without tickets for the game. And there are likely to be many more.

Sheepshanks said: "Since selling out we have made strenuous efforts to get more tickets and I am very concerned that every Ipswich fan who wants to go can go. The police in Italy have some worries over English football fans, regardless of our excellent club record. I am going to try to speak to the Inter Milan president to get more tickets for our supporters."
