Murray Needs to Learn From Red Card Wednesday, 19th Sep 2012 06:00 Striker Ronan Murray has to learn from his red card during Sunday’s 1-0 U21 victory over Brighton at Playford Road, according to manager Paul Jewell. The Irish U21 international was dismissed just after the half hour mark for headbutting Seagulls defender Theo Jones. Jewell said: “It was out of character for Ronan. I spoke with him yesterday about it, it’s not something we can condone. “He will be dealt with discipline-wise. He’s a young player, he’s got to learn from it. It’s not something anyone wants to see in football.” Murray’s three-match suspension only applies to non-first team games, so the 20-year-old will be available for selection for the Wolves squad having been a regular on the bench for the senior side this season. However, his place may be in doubt after his dismissal and with Nathan Ellington, the scorer of the winning goal on Sunday, having impressed his manager in recent weeks: “Nathan has been, by his own admission, not the player he was. But in the last two or three weeks he’s looked sharp in training. “It’s an area of the team where we’re quite fortunate, we’ve got a few bodies — Jason, Chopra, Taylor, Ellington, Murphy, Emmanuel-Thomas - all forward-thinking players. It’s down the other end of the pitch where we haven’t got the cover or the quality that we’d want.”
