Drury in for N'Daw at Palace Tuesday, 6th Nov 2012 19:12 Andy Drury returns to the Town side in place of Guirane N’Daw as new manager Mick McCarthy takes charge of the Blues for the second time at Crystal Palace this evening (KO 8pm). The Senegalese international, who was forced off with cramp late in the 1-0 victory at Birmingham on Saturday, is included amongst the subs.
McCarthy may switch his otherwise unchanged side from Saturday’s 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 to match Palace’s usual formation. The Eagles have their new boss Ian Holloway in charge for the first time.
Former Blues Damien Delaney and Owen Garvan are in the Palace starting line-up, while keeper Lewis Price and one-time Town academy schoolboy Stuart O'Keefe are on the bench. Full match preview here.
Town: Henderson, Edwards (c), Chambers, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Martin, Reo-Coker, Drury, Wellens, Murphy, Campbell. Subs: Loach, Smith, Mohsni, N'Daw, Emmanuel-Thomas, Scotland, Chopra.
Crystal Palace: Speroni, Ward, Ramage, Delaney, Parr, Dikgacoi, Jedinak (c), Bolasie, Garvan, Zaha, Murray. Subs: Price, Blake, Easter, Moxey, O'Keefe, Appiah, Moritz

Yes he will know , 4.0 and we offer nothing. We are bottom because our team is the worst in the division. Im looking now wondering how many will get in the palace team. Answer none at all.

The job of saving us is to big this season ,we left it to late with PJ and even supported his stupid buying in of loans. Palace are a team of young hungrey players, we are a team of very poor individuals. Im telling you we are down this season. The task is just to big.

Mick's gonna need our support because he isn't getting it from his team! It'll happen eventually...

4-nil! McCarthy is going to have to keep them back and deliver a few home truths. Hope the Palace caretaker is not in a hurry home or gets overtime.

This is very painful, but I'll stick it out to the end on Ipswich Player. I really feel for MM. What a mess he's inherited. I expected a defeat, but not as bad as this. Total rebuilding required. I hope MM's up for it. COY [New]B!

Chambers is a weak link imo. I thought zaha would be too hot for Town. Need more defenders and quickly!! Good luck Saturday guys. :))

MM will sort us out , i had never realised the size of the task until tonight. Our performance has been brought about by players not playing for each other. Hence we get exposed. I am gutted . very gutted tonight being here and watching , what a mistake.

Would everyone not now agree that regardless of who manages ITFC based on tonight it's the players who are not performing, and the players who are letting the club and fans down. Name one player in this team that bleeds ITFC, there isn't one...! Mick was a brave man, and I will make a prediction now, we will be relegated, and to be fair we deserve nothing less, for years and under 3 managers we have gone nowhere and now are a laughing stock. Credit to Palace they are top of the league on a high and would always be good for tonight's win, but the nature of it is enough for me to prove that these players are not fit to pull on the shirt. Dark days, we need a miracle Before the hate campaign starts on poor old Mick just look at this properly and realise its the gutless 11 that are where we are now.....

It is a total rebuild. We have the manager for it. But one third of the season gone and we have 2 wins.
marco007 added 21:56 - Nov 6
Excellent, only 5-0 and one better than Blackpool and no goal for Zaha....top defending :)

Well Mick you now understand the size of the task that faces you, I sincerely hope that you are up for the job. I also hope that you have deep pockets Mr.Evans because we need to purchase an entirely new team. Pathetic.

THETRUTH ,your spot on . This group of players falls so far short. It doesnt work as a team ,because they are not 11 people who really care. Its so obvious , ive watched so many games including tonight and i see players without guts. we create zero and we score near zero. Jewell has caused issues and MM needs the tools to sort it out. Im sick of them at the moment ,i support the club ,but not the 1st team squad who are sub standars in so many ways.
Somersetractor added 22:00 - Nov 6
I'm sure we have some decent players lets just hope that Mick can get the best out of those and get rid of those who are not up to it. I still believe we will stay up but it's gonna be a battle all the way and we'll need some funds come January. Remember this is a fresh start, we're just at the back of the grid :/

Oh dear ! Back to the grim reality of our plight. Just as Mick said there will be no quick fix.We really must be lacking in certain areas of our play!!! I feel that it is going to be a long winter and as I am writing this it is now 5-0 . Absolutely diabolical ! I feel that our demise has not left us since we appointed Roy Keane. He certainly has a lot to answer for as things have never been the same since he stepped into the role of manager. We seem to have such a different outlook since the days of yesteryear . Not sure if we will ever see the glory days again. Not a particularly enjoyable evening football wise on my birthday. Hoping for better things at the weekend !! PLEASE!!!!!

Honeymoon is over Mick. Welcome to the real world that is Ipswich Town. Do you know of 11 good players looking for jobs?

I think Jewell should have gone after the Cardiff game, before the international break. We held on to him for 2-3 weeks too many.
