Tabb Not Expecting Recall Thursday, 14th Mar 2013 13:13 On-loan midfielder Jay Tabb says he’s not expecting his situation to be affected by his parent club Reading sacking manager Brian McDermott earlier this week. The 29-year-old is with the Blues for an initial 28 days, during which time he can’t be recalled, but with the spell likely to be extended to the end of the season. Tabb told the club site: “I have had no contact from Reading apart from a text message saying what was going on at the club. “I won’t be calling back to find out what the situation is. I’m very happy being here. I understand if a new manager comes in, then I might get a call but I’m not looking for it. I came here to play games and achieve something with Ipswich Town. “I’m disappointed for Brian and his assistant Nigel Gibbs, who has also left Reading. They are good people but I’m an Ipswich player now and that is all that concerns me.” Tabb, who is out of contract at the Madejski Stadium at the end of the season, has previously said he would be interested in making a permanent switch to the Blues.
