![]() Monday, 7th Jan 2002 13:19 Saturday debutant Andy Marshall is hoping to keep his place in the Town side when the Blues take on Spurs at Portman Road on Saturday. The former Norwich man said: "I like to think that I did well and that I have put the manager in a difficult position when he comes to select the side for the home league game against Tottenham on Saturday. I did all that was asked of me. Dagenham got their feet behind the ball early on and launched it 60 yards up into the air. It was like the Alamo for the first 20 minutes. We were under siege and it was the best thing that could have happened when they scored. They took their foot off the accelerator a little and we were kick-started into life. We always felt confident, but we needed to bounce back relatively quickly, and this is what we did. Titus Bramble and Wayne Brown were superb at the heart of our defence and skipper for the day Jim Magilton was outstanding sitting just in front of the back four." Brown was pleased with his contribution despite getting cramp towards the end. Town had no new injury worries, although Thomas Gaardsøe (ankle), Mark Venus (thigh) and Alun Armstrong (ankle) were all on the treatment table over the weekend.
