Hyam Out to Win Over Detractor Boys
Tuesday, 7th Jan 2014 19:22

Midfielder Luke Hyam says he’s determined to win over his detractors amongst the Town support. The 22-year-old was jeered by a section of the Blues support during the recent 1-1 draw with Watford.

“Obviously it’s not nice to hear but it’s all part and parcel of being a footballer,” the former Northgate High School pupil told the club site. “I’m a big boy and I can take it.

“I know that not everyone is going to like me. Football is all about opinions. It’s the manager’s opinion that is the main one but at the same time, I’d like to please the fans and win over all the supporters.

“Hopefully I can do that with my performances on the pitch. That’s what I’m aiming to do. We’ve got ourselves into the top six and I want to play my part in keeping that going.”

Meanwhile, Town have released details of ticketing for next Tuesday’s FA Cup third round replay at Preston.

Dozzells Bobblehat - and a few others sqeakers .... ... saddest part is most of you have no recollection of the Club's successful days because you didn't see them - so you have nothing to compare with - but you have plenty to say, and how many times do I have to tell you you are totally wrong in your aspersions, but of course you always know best don't you ??? - or think you do.

blueboy32 - once again spouting off with incorrect facts - i can speak for the others but i was at Wembley in 78, i was there for the UEFA Cup Final in 81 and Wembley 2000, so i have seen plenty of our past thanks.
And for the hundreth time i/we dont think we know it all, you may even be right on some of your points , but its the way you do it , with arrogance and treating other posters like idiots that lets you down.
I notice you didnt deny the name change.

How many times? HE DIDNT GET BOOED!! It was one groan when he messed up a really promising move with a really poor pass. Its a natural reaction at football matches that happen every week. What are we supposed to do? Shout oh fiddle de dee we lost the ball? One groan, the groan would have happened no matter who messed the move up.
