Loach Starts for Injured Gerken
Saturday, 15th Feb 2014 14:31

Scott Loach comes in for his first league start since August and Paul Green makes his full debut as the Blues face Blackpool at home. Luke Hyam returns to the starting line-up after his gashed leg, while Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is on the bench having recovered from his hamstring injury.

First-choice keeper Dean Gerken misses out having woken up with a stiff neck, while Frank Nouble and Jay Tabb drop to the bench.

Town look set to start in a 4-4-2 formation with Green on the right of midfield with Stephen Hunt on the left.

Former Blues striker Michael Chopra is on the bench for Blackpool, alongside ex-Town loanee Ricardo Fuller.

Town: Loach, Chambers, Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Green, Hyam, Skuse, Hunt, McGoldrick, Murphy. Subs: Crowe, Mings, Richardson, Anderson, Tabb, Nouble, Ebanks-Blake.

Blackpool: Gilks, McMahon, Broadfoot, MacKenzie, Robinson, Angel, Perkins, Haroun, Dobbie, Keogh, Davies. Subs: Cathcart, Basham, Grandin, Halliday, Chopra, Goodwillie, Fuller.

No Taylor reckon his time is up. Hopefully SEB to come on instead of Nouble. Gerken a loss but lets have faith in Scott. 3 points please lads.

Feel for Tabb. Would rather see him next to Skuse instead of Hyam.

Loach does not fill me with too much confidence today and I can see Town slipping up.

Hope I am wrong again!!!

Can't believe Anderson isn't starting if we're playing a 442.

COYB!

Looks like Paul Taylor has a headache this week and most likely a permanent one, what a waste never given a chance under MM same goes for Wordsworth still she what happens today hopefully a win and three precious points coyb

Glad Nouble is on the bench and Hunt starts again on the left.
This sort of match is just the type we struggle with, we only got past a struggling Bolton team thanks to a penalty and struggled against both Watford, Charlton and Barnsley so let's hope we can win this one as I'm not sure we have won three on the bounce at home this season?

Wow as i predicted playing a poor team at home MM wont even go for it then only player i got wrong from predicted line up was Hunt instead of Tabb .suppose that is quite adventurous for MM . Why the need for three defensively minded midfielders at home against weak opposition low on confidence Anderson must be happy and Nouble above Taylor on the bench .
Am hoping the weather that has prevented me from travelling may save me from another bore 1 0 .Probably be a 5 0 win !!

Hyam was obviously not ready... if Loach can perform like a goalie and not a poser, then I might be convinced

get a minus point for stating the obvious bore game i predicted with the not wanting to get beat tactics and team selected by MM , bet when he makes changes and the team he should have started with he will be some tactical genius for snatching a one nil win rather than picking the right team to start like last week

Still firing blanks we are still missing that little bit of something different what i thought Taylor brought lets hope Sylvan has it in him because Nouble definitely has not .

Micks thinking at this stage of the season beggers belief.Mick has done an amazing job here as Iv said a million times but we have an outside chance of given 6th a go and a lack of attack minded players at home is wrong. Why green on the right of mid and not given richardson a go at this time is not right .
