Edwards Would Like to Stay at Millwall Monday, 21st Apr 2014 10:51 Skipper Carlos Edwards says he would be interested in joining loan club Millwall on a permanent basis next season. The 35-year-old’s Town contract is up in the summer and the Trinidad and Tobago international is unlikely to be offered new terms. Edwards has helped Ian Holloway's Lions to climb out of the bottom three having joined them on loan for the rest of the season a month ago, scoring once in five starts. "The confidence in the side is very good at the moment," he told Sky Sports. "I don't know if the gaffer has plans for me to stay on, but I'd like to." Millwall and Edwards face Doncaster Rovers at the Den today in a crucial bottom of the Championship clash. Elsewhere, Elliott Hewitt and his loan club Gillingham are in League One action at Walsall.
