Burnley Rail Travellers Face Bus Delay Tuesday, 22nd Apr 2014 12:34
Fans travelling by rail from Ipswich to Saturday’s game at Burnley should note that buses will replace trains on the final leg of the journey.
The 9.53am from Leeds will terminate at Hebden Bridge due to engineering work at Tordmorden.
Buses will leave Hebden Bridge at 11.01am and is scheduled to arrive at Burnley Manchester Road, the nearest station to Turf Moor, at 11.41am. The train had been due to arrive at 10.57am.

I have spoken to Northern who are aware of the additional loadings, there are confirmed standby buses on hand at Hebden Bridge - they are also aware of the tight timings to make the kick off

I have been able to progress this a bit more today, those coming via Leeds will have the following travel option. 0600 Ipswich to Peterborough arriving at 0737 0755 Peterborough to Leeds arriving at 0924 There is then an 0937 and 0953 service to Hebden Bridge. Northern are looking to move the standby bus to Hebden Bridge to meet the first of these services and a request has been made for the buses to load and go straight off, thus giving an earlier arrival time into Burnley.
