Town will finish their pre-season programme with a visit to League One play-off finalists Leyton Orient on Saturday 2nd August (KO 3pm). The O's squad includes former Blues striker Kevin Lisbie.

The club had planned to stage a home friendly that weekend but now the only Portman Road game of pre-season is the match against West Ham on Wednesday 16th July.

The Town squad will be back at Playford Road for assessment and tests on Thursday and Friday of next week with pre-season training getting underway in earnest the following week.

Tickets for the game at Brisbane Road will cost £15 for adults and £5 for concessions, while prices for the match at Southend on Tuesday 29th July have also been announced with adult tickets £12.50, senior citizen/student/young person/disabled £6.25 and juniors £1.

The Blues’ friendly programme starts with a game against Shelbourne at Tolka Park, Dublin on Saturday 12th July. A full list of Town’s pre-season games can be found here.

Anyone remember the FA Cup replay there, when Mariner scored both goals in a 0-2 win?

Yorksblue - yes i remember it although didn't see much as the stand behind the goal dipped down into peoples back gardens! I remember being on someones shoulders trying to see when the 2nd goal went in - I flew through the air after that!! great memories though.

I would like to thank the club so much for thinking of the supporters so much when organising the pre-season fixtures.

We have to pay the clubs a fee to play at Portman Road so i'd rather save the money and use it for players.

For example Bournemouth paid Real Madrid over £1m and charged £60 a ticket and still lost money (almost 300k according to local media)
