U18s Beat Canaries
Saturday, 9th Aug 2014 14:34 by James Ager

Cemal Ramadan's second-half strike saw Town's U18 side to a 1-0 victory over Norwich City in a friendly at Playford Road on Saturday morning.

The Canaries struck the bar early on and then shortly before half-time, Ramadan's close range effort was hacked off the line by a defender.

However, James Blanchfield's ball found the Irish U17 international and he fired home across the keeper on 66 minutes.

Town looked fairly comfortable and held on for the win against their Norfolk rivals, who have a category one academy.

George Fowler and Myles Kenlock both stood out at the back for Town, who start their league fixtures with a home game against Leeds United next Saturday.

Goalscorer Ramadan tweeted after the game: "A derby day win over Norwich! 1-0! Always nice to get the winner as well!"

U18s: Marsden, Jones, Walton Owen (Benyu 46), Kenlock, Emmanuel, Fowler, Patterson, Blanchfield (C Smith 74), Ramadan (Ellis 74), Trialist, McLoughlin (Ford 64). Unused: McDermid, Daly, Ingram.

Category 2 defeating Category 1!
How on earth could the cagebirds get Category 1 when we didn't.
Well, we just prove on the pitch who have the better set-up and come next year, 0.3 percent will be erased and forgotten.
