Young Town XI at Hampton and Richmond Tuesday, 28th Oct 2014 12:05 A young Town XI are taking on Ryman Premier League Hampton and Richmond Borough in a friendly at their Beveree Stadium this evening (KO 7.45pm). The match effectively replaces yesterday’s scheduled U21 match away at Cardiff City, which was postponed. Town are set to field a young development side led by Mark Kennedy with no senior players involved. The game is also likely to give boss Mick McCarthy another chance to take a look at Hampton and Richmond left-back George Wells, who recently impressed while playing for Town’s U21s in the Premier League Cup victory over Swansea at Portman Road. The 18-year-old was previously with Chelsea and QPR’s youth set-ups. Tickets cost £5 with entry for children aged 16 and under and Hampton and Richmond season ticket holders free. Town XI: Crowe, Emmanuel, Wyatt, McDonnell, Robinson, Clarke, Galvin, Benyu, McQueen, Patterson, McLoughlin. Subs: Marsden, Kenlock, Guldbrandsen, Ramadan, Ellis.
