Bishop Linked With Premier League Pair
Tuesday, 21st Apr 2015 13:44

Town are reported to have put a £9 million price tag on 18-year-old midfielder Teddy Bishop.

According to The Sun, Liverpool and Arsenal are both keen on Bishop, who they claim “looks certain” to leave the club in the summer.

Town, who secured the academy product on a contract until 2018 with an option for a further year in February, are unlikely to want to cash in on Bishop at this early stage in his career and would almost certainly eventually want a fee somewhat in excess of the reported figure.

Bishop, like left-back Tyrone Mings, has been eyed by Premier League scouts throughout the season.

Meanwhile, ticket sales for Saturday’s crunch home game against Nottingham Forest have passed the 21,000 mark.

......... just a reminder that McGoldrick and Mings are still with us - and how many million did you have them both going for.

Hasn't happened - and unlikely to - talk is always CHEAP.

Nicely analysed, Len! Lazy tabloid journalism at its best. Designed to upset our club just at the business end of the season. Paper talk. If it's Arsenal it Liverpool asking then it's at least double that! :-)

How many games has he completed ? not ,many ? one maybe
Great talent but when I look at Hughes at Derby I think we need to hold on for afew more seasons - When I see Fryers is a £5m players anything is possible

Learn his trade here? You mean with Boring Billys hoofball tactics. A player of that class needs to be in a team that plays football through the middle not up in the air

Trust that he will be in the Prem with us either next season or the one after that and he will be playing most weeks rather than on the bench or outside the match day squad at Arsenal or Liverpool or wherever else. Plenty of history of problems for our younger players like Wrighty, Wickham and co and the extra money is not much compensation when you want to be playing as much as possible.
On another note how do people feel about the possibility of Berra going to PSG.....? just a thought.......

Oh now I understand.
Leicester did NOT make an offer for McG and Palace did NOT make an offer for Mings.

Therefore McG is sulking(according to conspiracy theory) because we did not accept an offer that was NEVER made.

It all makes sense now then blueboy, thank you.

PJH ............ ever heard that sarcasm is the lowest form of ?????? ........... why is it that you have such a problem with accepting the truth ???

Both players that were going for £millions are still with us ......... YES ??

As someone has said media garbage - that can only unsettle those silly enough to believe ......... and that doesn't seem to be difficult for some !!!!

Let's focus on Notts Forest - shall we ?? ............. far more important right now.

Morning blueboy

I did realise that there was an alternative meaning to your ambiguous cryptic post but I was not sure what you were actually saying.

Now I understand that you were praising ME and MM for their courage and ambition in turning down huge offers and that you were predicting that they show the same courage and ambition in turning down any future offers for Bishop.

Perhaps you could make your actual meaning clearer in future posts?

Have a nice day and yes, let's focus on Notts Forest.

I have decided to mark up both the previous posts because they both recommend that we should focus on Notts Forest.

OK. Now run along and play nicely!!

Timing is so crucially important with these things---remember we lost out on Mark Brennan years ago when we turned down a transfer to Forest, and think we may have missed out on Didds money this year----in hindsight (which I know is easy) would have been great move for us.

£9m for Bish----yes I would take it if offered, reluctantly.

If there is any truth in this .. and that is a big if, where do you think he would rather continue and develop his career?

I assume he is ambitious and wants to prove himself against the best, so given the choice of development at the Emirates, Anfield or Portman Road, who honestly would choose the latter? I bet his agent wouldn't advise him to stay on here.

Williams crocked and now Bishop the subject of transfer speculation; I'm worried.

I would be very surprised if there was not significant interest in Berra particularly if we do not go up.
