Murphy Signs New Deal
Wednesday, 15th Jul 2015 14:42

Town striker Daryl Murphy has signed a new two-year deal with the Blues, effectively ending the speculation regarding his future.

Rumours that the Irish international, the subject of much transfer speculation this summer, had extended his stay with the Blues began to circulate on the TWTD Forum last night.

Murphy previously had a year to run on the contract he signed last July, with the club having an option for a further season. The new deal takes the 32-year-old through to the end of June 2017. We understand the club again has an option for a further year.

“I’m delighted to have signed a new contract,” Murphy told Ipswich Player HD.

“All summer I have heard the rumours and seen the stories in the papers and I’ve had my family and friends ringing me and asking me what’s going on.

“I kept telling them I wasn’t going anywhere and not to believe everything they read in the papers.

“I was just trying to enjoy my holiday. I knew that I’d be here at Ipswich when I came back for pre-season and I’m just pleased now that it’s all out of the way.

“I have always said I’m happy and settled here and that has never changed. I have never thought about moving and now, having signed a new contract, I can put all that speculation talk to bed and look forward to the new season.”

Elsewhere, former Blues loanee Giovani Dos Santos, 26, has joined MLS champions LA Galaxy on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Villarreal.

Moaners will be moaners..
ITFC moaners feel a particular sense of entitlement which justifies their moans regardless of whatever actual facts are available.
PJH keep the faith pal and never lose your passion for the club. We need as many supportive supporters as possible. The unsupportive supporters can just "bugger off"

......... bohslegend - typical pathetic comment from 'a so called LOYAL supporter' of ITFC - maybe from the armchair, maybe not.

I wonder if some of you put as much financial imput into the Club - as some of those you have disgustingly told to 'bugger off'.

Keeping the dimes in the pocket makes it much easier to accept ANYTHING - as some, if not all, of you do.

If the above is not applicable - prove me wrong ...... !!!

No true, ambitious, supporter of IPSWICH TOWN would ever tell another to 'bugger off' - shame on you people for doing so. Like it or NOT.

Again, such comments would be so much easier to take from one who hasn't called fellow posters and fans natural born loses.

That's right. Someone says something to Blueboy they should be ashamed. Boot on the other foot and.it's "if the cap fits" shameless I would say. As you rightly say courtesy and respect should be extended to all yet you then completely contradict yourself. Changing direction like a wind sock in a hurricane.

Hypocrisy of the rankest kind.

......... truth hurts boys .......... and you don't take too kindly to it obviously.

Hard luck boys - but that's the way of the world.

Same old clique - sticking together as normal, clicking the buttons for each other. What a Laugh .. !!!!

......... just keep telling ITFC (real supporters) to 'bugger off' if they say anything you dislike, or have an alternative opinion to yourselves - it obviously is your forte.

When I challenge the credentials of being a 'true supporter' - they come up with NOTHING - other than garbage as a standard.

No further dialogue required with such.

Again rank hypocrisy. One rule for Blueboy another for everyone else. Can dish it out but can't take it. It's childis.

I have always welcomed your opinion on here and am happy to have grown up debate but behaving like a 3 year old just isn't called for. So tell me blueboy. Constantly playing the everyones fanning up on me card like a school yard bully on the verge of his cummance.

Why is it acceptable for you to call people natural born losers but nit for someone to tell you to bugger off? What is the difference?

You are making yourself look a bit silly blueboy1981.
I used to think that occasionally you actually talked sense but those days seem to be gone.

I wish I could say - at least sometimes - YOU talk some sense. Shame I can't.

Have Dinner with BlueandTruesince82 and enjoy - that's if you don't already !!!

Happy Days - whatever you are.

Again Blueboy you insult people but do not answer the question.

Why is it acceptable for you to call other posters natural born losers but not for other posters to tell you to bugger off (I would suggest your comment is actually far nastier). What is the difference.

All I read above is people come up with nothing, people don't answer me so why not try and put at least a little hypocrisy to bed and answer the question.

BluesandTrue82 ......... shame once again you haven't researched, or understand, the meaning of : Insult.

I couldn't care less, about you telling me personally to 'bugger off' - you do it to IPSWICH TOWN SUPPORTERS who probably, yes probably, are more worth to the Club than yourselves (debatable, of course). But that's covered in the wording, assuming you understand that.

Under NO circumstance should a TRUE Supporter of our Club tell another to go elsewhere - and in doing so use the terminology 'bugger off'.

Shame on anyone for that.

I rest my case - I neither have time, or inclination, to further deliberate with people who see fit to do the above. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Again, you have not answered the question. I'll ask it again in a min. Let's deal with the other nonsense first.

I have never told anyone to bugger off on here. I will call people out on their double standards as you have seen, but I have never suggested anyone bugger off. If you can find a post anywhere that suggests otherwise point it out.

Secondly. Just as you say under no circumstances should one town supporter really another to bigger off (you note I acknowledge that in another post above, clearly you missed it fist time round) but nor (and this is my point, try to understand it) is it acceptable for you to call other town supporters natural born losers. In fact it is far worse, far nastier and totally unacceptable as I stead of simply suggesting you go elsewhere to offer opinions it questions that individuals entire life, quite unfair since these not people you know personally so you can have no understanding of the truth of it and even if you did it would be rude.

So again here it comes, my question, in big letters so you understand;

WHY IS IT ACCEPTABLE FOR YOU TO CALL OTHER POSTERS AND FANS NATURAL BORN LOSES BUT NOT FOR THEM TO TELL YOU TO BUGGER OFF? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

In any context, as you well know, none really. Hence as I have already said, rank, repugnant hypocrisy.

Don't worry I will be.on hand to point out said hypocrisy until you learn that you can't have one rule for you and one for everyone else. You are a middle aged man, it is you who should look at yourself and ask yourself, why do I feel the need to call people o have never met losers? Why can I dish it out and not take it?

Remember Blueboy. Answer the question in the bug letters.
