Murphy and McGoldrick in Irish Squad Tuesday, 18th Aug 2015 15:16 Town strikers Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick have been named in a provisional 37-man squad for the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Georgia next month. The final squad will assemble on August 30th before the Gibraltar match in Faro, Portugal on Friday 4th September and then the Georgia fixture at the Aviva Stadium Dublin on the following Monday. Manager Martin O’Neill, who was at Portman Road on Saturday for Town’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, said: “These are two very important games in our qualifying campaign and we are looking forward to them. The players are all now back in action with their respective clubs and will be ready for these games. “We will be training at the new FAI National Training Centre in preparation for the trip to Faro to take on Gibraltar and the home game against Georgia at Aviva Stadium. “The facilities are very impressive and we look forward to making this our training base for all future international camps.” Murphy has previously won 16 full caps and McGoldrick two and both are still looking for their first international goal.
