 Monday, 19th Jul 1999 16:18 Martin Smith has failed to agree terms with the club after today's discussions. Whether any further talks are likely and whether he is still off on the tour has not been revealed, although we'd imagine that is unlikely. Seemed like quite a decent palyer from what Sunderland fans were saying. No other transfer news as far as we know.
