Malarczyk's Contract Terminated Sunday, 28th Aug 2016 11:05 Town have confirmed that Polish central defender Piotr Malarczyk has left the club having had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
Malarczyk joined the Blues a year ago today from his hometown club Korona Kielce, where he was skipper, Town triggering a release clause in his contract which allowed him to move on if a foreign side made an offer of 50,000 zloty (around £8,500).
The 25-year-old made only three cup starts - including the FA Cup replay at Portsmouth in which he was red-carded - and three Championship sub appearances, all last season, and joined Southend on loan for the final weeks of the campaign having been made available for transfer.

New Gent came on for Boro today, so I doubt he's going anywhere.

Like so many before him - never given a proper chance. And most importantly was possibly not a 'yes' man - who agreed with all things McCarthy. Good Luck - and all good wishes, for a future in the game at another Club.

@blueboy1981 "And most importantly was possibly not a 'yes' man - who agreed with all things McCarthy." Pure guesswork, and yet somehow you consider it the most important thing. Bizarre.

Frees up a squad space and a wage. He is well down the pecking order and unfortunately at the moment nowhere near the standard needed for a Championship team. Best of luck to him

Like several players during the McCarthy era wasn't given a chance in first team;but since being transfer listed nobody has come in for him,or Stewart;so suppose we have to trust the Managers judgement, who see these players all the time, and we are only laymen.
