Kenlock Replaces Injured Knudsen But Town Otherwise Unchanged
Tuesday, 13th Dec 2016 18:59

Myles Kenlock comes in for the injured Jonas Knudsen in an otherwise unchanged Town side facing Birmingham City at St Andrew’s.

Knudsen travelled with the squad but misses out having picked up an unspecified knock.

Andre Dozzell replaces Teddy Bishop, who is out for up to a month with an ankle injury, on the bench.

Birmingham: Kuszczak, Spector, Morrison, Shotton, Grounds, Cotterill, Gleeson, Kieftenbeld, Davis, Donaldson, Jutkiewicz. Subs: Legzdins, Robinson, Tesche, Adams, Solomon-Otabor, Maghoma, Dacres-Cogley.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Webster, Berra, Kenlock, Skuse, Douglas, Ward, Lawrence, McGoldrick, Varney. Subs: Gerken, Emmanuel, Bru, Dozzell, Williams, Sears, Pitman. Referee: Darren Bond (Lancashire).

I'm personally a fan of young Miles Kenlock. I rate him higher than Knudsen who simply won't be missed. But Skuse/Douglas again is disappointing but no surprise.

Wow Williams and Sears must be really bad players to not be able to get into this Ipswich side

No goals tonight then. Douglas in after that performance on Saturday is just ridiculous. Kenlock could be man of the match tonight - still be dropped ASAP. Just glad I did not go. Even if we steal a one nil victory it will be brutal to watch. Get out Dino.

Best appears to have dropped off the radar I've noticed.
Seems a bit harsh as he hasn't been given much of a chance and Sears is still making the squad.
As for tonight's line up I'm just indifferent to it all now. Lost my Town mojo completely this season and I'm just turning up out of duty. While Evans and McCarthy are running the show I can't see that changing which is gutting.

I like to be balanced in my thoughts on this site but I am struggling..

Why get a PL International player on loan and then not play him. It is madness & MM in my view knows it. Thin line between loyalty & stubborn arrogance & I suggest MM is the wrong side of it.

Birmingham's form is worse than ours though so you never know. Confidence is not high though in my mind.

COYB!

Looking at the squad - it's capable of much more - the problem is undoubtedly the Manager.

No money released by Evans will ever change a thing whilst this man reigns.

I may get hammered for this, but how about moving Webster into midfield?

The side might look something like this:

Bart
Emmanuel
Chambers
Barra
Kenlock
Ward
Dozzell
Webster
Lawrence
Varney
McGoldrick

If the same old isn't working, change it!

Glad to see Myles Kenlock get another run out (albeit short term) as I rate him very highly. Would like to say I was surprised that we are otherwise unchanged but totally am not !!!. MM will continue with Skuglas until we finally win again and then say, I told you I was right which is why many of us on here detest his arrogance.

What about playing a 3-4-3 like chelsea are currently playing I think we have the players to make it work.
Bart
Chambo Webster Berra
Ward bishop skuse Lawrence
Mcgoldrick willams (both in free roles to find space)
Sears
In some games when we may be required to defend a bit more could easily change personal a little and make it a 3-5-2/5-3-2
Bart
chambo Webster Berra
Emmanuel Kenlock
Bishop skuse Lawrence
mcgoldrick Williams
