Town Sign Huws on Loan from Cardiff
Tuesday, 31st Jan 2017 22:14

Town have confirmed the signing of Wales international Emyr Huws on loan from Cardiff City for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old played youth football with Swansea and then Manchester City, where he made one senior sub appearance.

While with City he spent time on loan at Northampton, Birmingham and Wigan before joining the Latics on a permanent basis in 2014.

A spell on loan at Huddersfield followed last season before he moved to the Bluebirds on a permanent basis last summer signing a three-year deal but has made only two starts and two sub appearances this season.

Huws has been capped 10 times by Wales at full level, scoring one goal, in addition to appearances at U17, U19 and U21 levels.

Ever get the feeling the board/McCarthy are just getting players in quantity on the cheap hoping they'll unearth a diamond this transfer window but what is the point of signing yet another Championship player on loan and it's from a club thats struggling so you'd think if he had any quality they certainly wouldn't be letting him go.

What the hell is going on!?!...and so much for McCarthy and his ethics when he first came here of clearing out the loans, the club is going full circle.

7 players in mainly to bulk up the squad to get us through this abysmal season.

Question us. WHAT IS EVANS PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE??

SELL UP FFS AND TAKE MCCARTHY WITH YOU.

Oh another loan of a player who isn't wanted elsewhere and they are arguably worse than what we already have. *sigh*

This is essentially due to Marcus Evans FAILURE to do deals.

Reminds me of the jewel era when everyone was a loan player absolute joke no wonder the club is in a mess

Who is he ?! No offence intended but I follow championship football quite closely and I have never hear of him..... oh wait a minute does he come highly recommended by the Cardiff city manager who also recommended a certain Leon best ??? Oh well that's alright then we can sit back and watch him and the other 6 signings turn us into world beaters!!!!
Mick will not go and Evans doesn't care enough to do anything about it ? Mick will tell us that derby are a premiership side with premiership players ? Sheff Wednesday sign Rhodes for 10 million? Wolves sign costa for 13 even Brentford have spent 3 million ? Evans has to understand that you cannot compete at this level unless you are prepared to invest ? If you are not ? Darwins theory applies equally well in the harsh world of football and we will find our level which at the moment is probably mid table league one. I live near a club who are suffering more than we are believ it or not ? Evans needs to look at the sorry state of Coventry city who are heading towards league 2 in rapid fashion. EVANS YOU IGNORE THIS AT YOUR PERIL. DO NOT LET THIS ONCE GREAT CLUB GONTHE SAME WAY- PLEASE

I would seriously advise Milne to keep a low profile on new signings this week and concentrate on getting match day tickets to a sensible level.

.........has anyone seen McCarthy walking down the A12 on the wrong side of the road ... ??

Wouldn't surprise me - all he is currently doing is thrashing around in the dark - without a clue of where he is, or where he is going.

What the fcuk is he doing ........... ????

We are being taken for absolute mugs by our football club. I haven't heard of the last 2 LOAN signings. Why? Because they're squad players who can't get into their respective first teams. The owner and directors are showing their lack of ambition, desire, willingness and plan. On top of that we have a tactically inept and out of touch stubborn manager who refuses to do the honourable thing and quit. My heart is crying for the team I've loved for 40 years.

Am I imagining it or didn't McCarthy say a few seasons ago that we wouldn't be filling the squad up with loanees like when Jewell did?

How many do we have now?..5 and counting?...and that's not including the players on short term deals.

Total mess..relegation is now a real possibility.

We are starting to stink of the Norwich team that went down with many many loan players. Those players didn't really give a flying fish about the team when the going got tough. There is no doubt MM & ME are closing their eyes and crossing their fingers....

IF this lad was any good he would have signed for colchester utd . MM out !

I just do not buy this 'oh it's so difficult to to bring permanent signings in in January..'. Then how come every other bloody club can do it?!? It's beyond infuriating and we are being taken for mugs once again!!

I d be happier if Evans used his transfer budget to pay Mcarthy and his side kick off.
