Town Sign Huws on Loan from Cardiff
Tuesday, 31st Jan 2017 22:14

Town have confirmed the signing of Wales international Emyr Huws on loan from Cardiff City for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old played youth football with Swansea and then Manchester City, where he made one senior sub appearance.

While with City he spent time on loan at Northampton, Birmingham and Wigan before joining the Latics on a permanent basis in 2014.

A spell on loan at Huddersfield followed last season before he moved to the Bluebirds on a permanent basis last summer signing a three-year deal but has made only two starts and two sub appearances this season.

Huws has been capped 10 times by Wales at full level, scoring one goal, in addition to appearances at U17, U19 and U21 levels.

Full respect to the lad,but why the hell do we go for players that other clubs don't want.
Does this club not have any ambition at all.!!

What's worse is we happy to shell out a 100k for a "punt" but not 300k for Matt Taylor?

Not saying he would have been a good addition, not saying he's worth 300k coz I've not seen him BUT at least he has a good record thus far. All signings are punts to a greater or lesser extent.

300k for Taylor based on his recent record seems fair. Would he be new Murphy? No would he be a worth a go? Yes

greenkingstone ! Unfortunately Evans was not at the game last night, to see that Debacle of a football match. (Probably did not like the cold and rain) although us silly sods did turn out !! I Hate mid winter night matches, But love them in the Autumn or Spring ?

Now for Reading on Sat. with Dino still here, trying out his wits against Jaap Stam.

Newcastle with untold riches never signed a single player and they tried until the last minute.ITFC signed 7 players. My glass is always half full,i take the positives out of whatever negatives i come across. The Club now has a better squad than it did. It's got some young players on board. It gained a very good defender on a free.ITFC haven't put the future of the club at risk by spending money it hasn't got.The season begins Saturday and i'm looking forward to it.COYB.

Can't beleive Micks still here, does he have no shame or integrity? Just wanting to be sacked for the money. Any other manager would walk away. My Norwich mate reckons that McCarthy is off to Norwich as their new manager soon.
