U18s Lose to Norwich

Town’s U18s were beaten 5-3 by Norwich City in a friendly at Playford Road this morning, Jack Lankester (2) and Prince Ogunmekan scoring the Blues’ goals.

The side coached by Alan Lee found themselves 4-0 down before Lankester (pictured) pulled one back before half-time and then added a second shortly after the restart.

The striker went close to a hat-trick when he hit a post prior to Norwich adding a fifth and Ogunmekan pulling a third back for the Blues late on.

Town’s U18s are next in action against Hadleigh United at Millfield in the second round of the Suffolk Premier Cup on Tuesday evening (KO 7.45pm).

U18s: Egan, Murrell (Henry 46), Marshall, Ndaba, Clements, Cahill, Ogunmekan, El Mizouni, Dobra, Lankester, Knight. Unused: Ware, Vega, Trialist.
