Moore Set for Barnsley?
Thursday, 4th Jan 2018 21:03

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony appears to have hinted that Town striker Kieffer Moore is set to join Championship Barnsley.

Posh were one of a number of League One clubs interested in 25-year-old Moore, who has just been recalled from a highly successful loan spell at Rotherham, while TWTD has previously reported that Championship sides have also shown an interest.

Yesterday, Posh director of football Barry Fry revealed his club had agreed a fee with the Blues but they subsequently opted not to pursue the switch, MacAnthony outlining why on Twitter.

In a lengthy question and answer session on Twitter the Peterborough chief was later asked to give a hint regarding his alternative targets.

In addition to Rotherham and Peterborough, Charlton, Bradford and Scunthorpe were also understood to be keen on Moore, who cost the Blues £20,000 from Forest Green Rovers a year ago.

Congratulations to Kiefer if he's going to be earning close to £10,000 a week. Good luck to him.

It seems if you work in league one you have no discretion and a big mouth.

So disrespectful 🙄

Well I hope Town are getting good money for KM, if we are allowin* him to go to another Championship Club! A bit of me wonders what he would be like now in a Town shirt?

I'm not sure where they got 10k from. I appreciate that Barnsley have just been taken over, but Hourahan who was our star player, was paid 4k (and he was the highest paid player!) Look at the wages bill, Barnsley are almost bottom and certainly won't pay 10k to an unproven lower league player.

Wherever you go Kieffer, just keep banging the goals in and shut some of these people up who think you're not up to it - just because the Evans/Milne/McCarthy machine would rather have a few bob for you, than give you a chance by playing to your strengths, and giving you a chance at Portman Road.

Barnsley? Maybe Mick is being a double agent and lining up a cheap switch for him to Barnsely then will reunite with him in the summer?

Further note Yorkshire post reports Bradford have also lodged a bid now.

Or the signing of Darnin is the reason Town are letting him go.
MM and TC must see something more in Darnin than in Moore........ time will tell will be good to see how they compare in the Championship

@brittaniaman I've also read the article from the Daily Mail. If true this is a good deal for both clubs,75% profit if the bid is genuine!
