![]() Wednesday, 5th Jun 2002 08:33 All is not well in Amir Karic's Slovenian camp. Top man Zlatko Zahovic is set to be sent home after attacking manager Srecko Katanec after his 70th minute substitution against Spain. Captain Ales Ceh tried to break up the pair who both now face uncertain futures. In the aftermath of the attack Katanec has announced that he will resign after the World Cup. The 38-year-old was in tears at a press conference where he said he was "shocked", adding: "Despite this incident, I am a professional and I will do my utmost in the next several games." Zahovic could now find himself on his way home before Slovenia's next match, with South Africa on Saturday (7.30am BST). Town's Karic picked up a yellow card in their 3-1 loss to Spain on Sunday. Zahovic, now with Benfica, ended his career with Panathinaikos two years ago when he punched their coach.
