Seven Could Win Caps

Jonas Knudsen, Bartosz Bialkowski, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Bersant Celina are among seven Town players who could add to their international caps today.

Knudsen will hope he finally makes his third full international appearance - and his first since joining Town - when Denmark face Chile in a friendly at Aalborg Portland Park this evening.

The 25-year-old left-back was an unused sub as the Danes beat Panama 1-0 in another friendly on Thursday.

Bialkowski’s Poland are up against South Korea in a friendly in Chorzów. The Blues keeper, 30, who made his international debut in Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Nigerian Wroclaw, is not expected to be involved.

Bersant Celina, 21, who has won nine caps and has scored one international goal, is with the Kosovo squad who play Burkina Faso in a friendly at the Stade Jean Rolland, Franconville in Paris having beaten Madagascar 1-0 in another friendly at the same venue on Saturday.

On-loan Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 20, will be hoping to win his second full US cap in their friendly against Paraguay in Cary, North Carolina overnight.

Kevin Bru is set to skipper Mauritius when they take on Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar, the first international friendly to be staged by the hosts.

Bru, 29, who has previously won 14 full caps, netted his second international goal as his side defeated Macau 1-0 in Taipa on Thursday.

Flynn Downes, 19, is with the England U19s, who are already guaranteed to finish top of their European Championships elite qualifying mini-group having won their first two games in Skopje, Macedonia.

The England youngsters complete their fixtures when they take on the hosts this afternoon with Downes, who is currently on loan with Luton, looking to win his fifth cap at U19 level.

Winning the group confirms the Young Lions' place at the finals in Finland in July where they will defend the title they won in Georgia last summer, a team which featured currently-injured Blues midfielder Andre Dozzell, who still qualifies for the U19s.

Academy youngster Kian Ronan looks set to win his second Gibraltar U21s cap when they host Russia in a European Championships qualifier.

The 17-year-old Harlow-based right-back or midfielder, a first-year scholar who qualifies for Gibraltar as his mother and grandparents were born there, won his first cap in a 6-0 defeat to Serbia on Friday having previously played at U17 and U19 levels.
