Beattie's Funeral Date Announced

Blues legend Kevin Beattie’s funeral will take place at 3pm on Friday 26th October at Seven Hills Crematorium. Beattie, widely viewed as the club’s greatest ever player, died on Sunday 16th September aged 64 after suffering a heart attack in his sleep.
The announcement adds that “as a tribute to Ipswich Town FC and Bobby Robson, who gave Kev his first opportunity and where Kev considered ‘home’, the funeral procession will drive past his beloved club at 2.30pm approx”.
Family flowers only but donations may be made to the British Heart Foundation via the East of England Co-op Funeral Service, 247a Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich. IP2 0QG.
